Who we are, and how we work

FASTAUTO.BE buys used cars anywhere in Belgium. We are neither a marketplace nor a comparison site: a single contact takes your car over, and the amount quoted is the amount you receive.

How it works

  1. You describe the car

    Twelve questions online, no paperwork and no appointment. At the end, a first indicative valuation, calculated from what you declared.

  2. We review the file

    Within 24 h you receive a more precise valuation. It takes into account the model's real market value in Belgium, the mileage and the condition described — not an average.

  3. We call you

    A call to check what a form cannot show: the service history, the faults, the equipment. It is after that call that your guaranteed net price is set — the exact amount you will receive, with no fees deducted afterwards.

  4. We find your buyer

    That is our trade and our risk, not yours. How long it takes depends on the model and the season: we commit to the effort, never to a deadline we do not control.

  5. Appointment, then transfer

    We come to you, inspect the vehicle, sign, and you hand over the keys. The transfer of the agreed amount goes out 48 to 72 h after that handover.

The part worth understanding

We do not buy with our own funds to hold stock: we find the buyer for your car. That explains two things. First, payment follows the sale — it is not made at the moment you hand over the keys, but within the 48 to 72 h that follow. Second, our price sits below what a private sale would fetch: the difference pays for the search, the travel, the paperwork and the risk of not reselling. We would rather write it down than let you discover it at the appointment.

What sets us apart

A dealer trade-in
A trade-in is almost always tied to buying another vehicle: the amount is negotiated inside a discount, and it is hard to tell what pays for what. With us the price stands alone — you have nothing to buy.
A private sale
That is the route that pays most, and it has a real cost: the listing, the calls, the test drives, the haggling, checking the payment and the transfer paperwork. We take all of that on, and the price reflects it.
A trade auction site
You get several bids there, often revised on delivery. Here a single amount is quoted, and it only changes if the vehicle's actual condition differs from what was declared.
